In ancient times the gods of the entire planet were united in common goal to fight against their parents who cared nothing for mankind. Together these gods defeated the scourge of evil and kept the world safe but after they divided the world they dissolved their once tenuous alliance destroying the powerful chalice of time never to have it used against them.
